All of the DentalSource offices are managed by Ashen Company, Ltd., a Sacramento based company that also provides event support for their clients group picnics, banquets, golf tournaments and parties. See our Event Support Page for more information..

We conveniently offer our own x-ray services and laboratories – and all of our offices have private treatment rooms. Everyone at our office is committed to providing you with the most advanced dental treatments and technology available – while maintaining a calm and comfortable environment.

You’ll also be happy to know we have a Quality Control Department headed by a California Association of Dental Plans Certified Quality Assurance Auditor … which monitors and manages the clinical aspects of our dental offices on a daily basis.

Donald E. Clarke, D.D.S.

Dr. Clarke is not only owner-dentist of six DentalSource locations, he is also Chief Clinical Officer for Ashen Company, Ltd. He brings with him the value of 25 years of practice experience, 18 of them with Ashen.

Dr. Clarke has a degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, and certification from the California Association of Dental Plans as a Quality Assurance Auditor … making him uniquely qualified to manage the overall production, clinical staffing and code compliance in the dental offices.

James G. Barker, D.D.S.

Dr. Barker is the owner-dentist of the DentalSource network office in Stockton, CA. He has been practicing dentistry in Stockton since 1982 … and has become well known and respected in northern California. Dr. Barker received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1971 from the University of California San Francisco Medical Center. That’s after receiving a Bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of California-Berkeley in 1965, and a Master’s degree in biology from San Jose State College in 1967. He maintains a California Community College teaching credential in the biological sciences.

Dr. Barker is passionate about preserving our natural environment. He speaks around the country on manmade boxes for wood duck nesting, and has written articles and a book on the subject. He maintains the fourth-largest wood duck nesting program in the state of California. (More than 12,500 wood duck ducklings have jumped from his boxes.) He has a U.S. Fish and Wildlife bird banding permit … and is a member of the California Waterfowl Association, Manitoba Delta Wood Duck Society, and Ducks Unlimited.
